Our Virginia Beach client had a brand new convention center. The Washington Redskins wanted to grow their Virginia fan base. So how did we get the two together? BCF had a chance conversation with a member of the NFL’s Washington Redskins organization, of course. Exactly how we drew it up. Soon after, the Redskins Beach Blitz was born.
BCF created and launched the three-day fan appreciation festival at multiple venues throughout Virginia Beach, allowing fans unprecedented access to players and inviting the team’s huge fan base to discover the resort city.
In addition to helping plan the logistics, BCF branded the festival and created a
dedicated site to boost ticket sales. Through aggressive marketing at FedEx Field during home games, maximizing Redskins and Virginia Beach communication channels, and securing local and regional media coverage and partnerships, BCF created a fully integrated campaign on a low budget.
